About Chuck De Groat

I am a husband and Dad, and a developer of new ways of training 21st century pastors.  I live in San Francisco, the most secular city in the United States.  Many Christians think that it’s a very bad place.  I disagree.  San Francisco is a beautiful city, and the people of this city are hungry and thirsty for life.  They don’t like Pharisees and religious zealots.  And they don’t do what others have done merely because it’s traditional.

I like that.

I’m here with my incredible wife of 17 years – Sara – and two beautiful daughters – Emma and Maggie.

I’m here because I believe God loves San Francisco.  After all, the story of the Bible begins in a Garden and ends in a City.

Hi Chuck, I can’t find out how to email you on City Church’s website. A friend of mine sent me this article on the Quarter-Life Crisis, and given your recent foray into the “young adults” risking relationships seminar, I thought you might find it interesting for your repertoire or a future talk. Not necessarily a Biblical perspective, but true nonetheless. It’s not too long.
